At Birdhouse Brokerage, we use naturally distressed wood. Each house is hand-crafted in our Ulster County workshop. Our paints are chosen to stand the test of time, and weather beautifully. Each piece is hand-nailed and screwed together for long-lasting strength. No glues are used in our construction. Birds that are attracted to our birdhouses include:

The Woodshed

We designed and built this birdhouse in the fall of 2008. It has been our best-seller ever since! It features a 1-1/4 inch diameter port and a front door. On the left, you will find a winter's worth of firewood stashed for the birds to use to keep warm inside!

The Country Lane Charm

Named after our beautiful daughter, Olivia Layne, the COUNTRY LANE CHARM has consistently been one of our top sellers. Handmade of time-tempered wood, this house is crafted to be an edited version of our Grist Mill model. You will enjoy every glimpse of this aviary. The Country Lane Charm features a 1^1/4" hole. Since our birdhouses are handmade with rare woods, color may vary slightly.

The Yankee

Featured in "This Old House" magazine, " Spring 2002 Best of the Best" quarterly issue. This detailed birdhouse is naturally distressed to a vintage patina. The Yankee features five 1 1/4" holes. Because our wood supply is constantly changing, hues of trim will vary slightly. Call our workshop number: (845) 895-1316, to request your special color preference. This birdhouse looks fabulous on an old stone wall in front of our home. It will be equally attractive on an old stump, stone wall, deck, or fireplace hearth on your property.

The Cabin In The Woods

This birdhouse is one of our top sellers at all of our shows. Featuring a side porch, picnic table and authentic crotched twigs, this house is truly "for the birds!" Mounted on a 4 x 4 post or hanging from a tree, this unique handmade treasure will give you many hours of birdwatching enjoyment. It features a 1-1/4 inch diameter port. If you choose to keep this house inside, don't dust it, but use a soft vacuum brush to remove dust. Bottom unscrews for easy clean-out.

The Hunting Lodge

Named after our son, Hunter, the Hunting Lodge is a handsome and humble abode. Unassuming and unpretentious, this style has won the hearts of many of our customers. This is a "must-have" for the serious birdhouse collector. Though each Hunting Lodge is identical in dimensions, each birdhouse has varied hues with a mellowed patina. This birdhouse features two 1-1/2 inch holes.
